What is Banker and who is it for?
Banker (bankercr.com) is the finance copilot for small and mid-size businesses in Costa Rica: it syncs bank accounts, categorizes transactions with AI, issues 4.4 electronic invoices and works as a virtual CFO. It also includes personal finance for the owner and for anyone: budget, spending, goals, debts and net worth. It is not a bank. It is for businesses that want to see their money up to date and for people who want to sort out their own.
Which banks does Banker connect to?
In 2026 Banker connects to BAC Credomatic online banking through a connection you start and can disconnect at any time. Other institutions come in through file or email import. Banker is not affiliated with BAC Credomatic.
How often are my transactions synced?
You choose: automatic daily or weekly sync at the hour you prefer, plus a manual sync whenever you need one.
Does Banker issue electronic invoices accepted by Hacienda?
Banker prepares, signs (XAdES) and sends version 4.4 electronic vouchers to the Ministry of Finance with the CAByS catalog, and stores the reply. Hacienda does not certify software: each voucher is validated individually and you remain the legal issuer.
How much does Banker cost?
Personal finance: Basic at US$7 per month (US$84 per year) and Premium at US$12 per month (US$144 per year), VAT included. The Business plan is quoted per company. Details are on the pricing page.
Is it safe to give an app access to my bank?
Credentials are encrypted with a dedicated KMS key before they are stored, travel encrypted and are never kept in plain text. Every workspace has its own isolated data table, and you can enable two-factor authentication. Your financial data is yours: export it or close your account whenever you want.
Is Banker accounting software?
Banker is financial management software: it shows cash, receivables, payables, budget vs. actual and provisions with numbers your accountant can read. It does not keep double-entry books and does not replace a certified public accountant.
Does Banker give financial advice?
No. Banker organizes your information and shows indicators; the decisions are yours. It is not supervised by SUGEF and does not provide financial, accounting, tax or investment advice.
Which languages does it support?
The whole app works in Spanish and English, and you can switch languages even before signing in.
What happens with my personal data?
Banker processes your data under Costa Rica's Law 8968. You can access, correct, export or delete your information from the app or by writing to support@bankercr.com.
